Student Society for Climate Change Awareness is a transformative accelerator program in the South Asian region, addressing the pressing issue of climate change through youth leadership. Empowering university students with the knowledge and tools they need, this initiative fosters dialogue and action on climate justice. With a focus on marginalized communities, the project not only trains 1,250 student society members but also encourages them to spearhead climate awareness campaigns within their universities. Through sustainable practices these young leaders create a ripple effect of climate awareness, extending their impact beyond campus borders. The project’s influence reaches far and wide, ultimately contributing to mitigating the negative effects of climate change in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Furthermore, by sharing educational resources and campaign content online, the project aims to inspire millions throughout the densely populated region of South Asia.

Seeds of Peace is a non-profit organisation that works primarily in the areas of peacebuilding and leadership development. The organisation equips youth and educators with the skills and relationships to work in solidarity across lines of difference to create more just and inclusive societies. Since 2001, the organisation has worked extensively in South Asia with over 500 teens and educators participating in the Seeds of Peace Camp and thousands more benefiting directly from the work.
