Harvesting Cool Water: Sustainable Irrigation with AC Condensate

The exhibition showcasing the project on reusing AC condensate water for garden irrigation achieved notable outcomes in environmental sustainability and community engagement. By capturing condensate water from the university’s air-conditioning units, the initiative significantly conserved freshwater, reducing reliance on local water resources. The incorporation of a drip irrigation system further optimized water usage by delivering it directly to plant roots, minimizing evaporation and runoff. This project not only highlighted the importance of water conservation but also demonstrated a practical, replicable solution that inspired students and staff to consider the environmental implications of their actions. Ultimately, it fostered a culture of sustainability on campus, encouraging individuals to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
