Floating wetlands
0 Comment
Karachi, facing severe water pollution, has launched a project to implement floating wetlands as natural filters. Covered in climate-resilient plants, these wetlands will purify polluted water and improve air quality. After extensive research and pilot tests, the team identified the best plants and conditions for these wetlands. Targeting 41 polluted drains, the project aims to set an example for other cities. Ultimately, it seeks to improve public health, enhance biodiversity, and mitigate climate change, creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier Karachi for future generations.
