Waste To Wellness
Their project addresses the pressing issues of plastic waste, deforestation, and the underutilization of discarded wood by creating physical therapy equipment from recycled materials. By sourcing used and recycled wood, they developed essential rehabilitation tools, including a shoulder wheel, finger ladder, neurological boards, balance board, exercise cycle, and more. The primary objective is to replace plastic with sustainable, eco-friendly materials within the healthcare sector, particularly physical therapy, while promoting wood reusability.
Their project made a notable impact by repurposing discarded wood to create eco-friendly physical therapy equipment, addressing plastic waste and deforestation within the healthcare sector. Through exhibitions and seminars, they raised awareness of sustainable alternatives, demonstrating how recycled wood can replace plastic in clinical settings. Attendees not only learned about the environmental benefits but were also inspired to adopt sustainable practices, with some expressing interest in purchasing the handmade equipment. This initiative underscores the potential for other sectors to embrace similar eco-conscious practices, contributing to a larger movement for sustainability
