Pave It Green
The Peace Corner, once a serene campus oasis, has fallen into disrepair. Our project aims to revitalize this space by restoring its natural beauty, promoting sustainability, and fostering community engagement. We plan to clear the area of debris and overgrown vegetation, assess the soil quality, and implement necessary improvements to support plant growth. Our landscape design will incorporate native plants, shrubs, and trees, creating a diverse and eco-friendly environment. By installing eco-friendly features like composting bins and bird feeders, we aim to promote sustainable practices. Additionally, we will establish seating areas and pathways to encourage relaxation and community interaction. Through community planting days and workshops, we will involve students, faculty, and staff in the upkeep of this revitalized space, ensuring its long-term sustainability.
The Peace Corner Revitalization Project aims to transform the neglected Peace Corner into a vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive campus space. By restoring the area’s natural beauty, promoting biodiversity, and incorporating eco-friendly features, the project seeks to create a serene environment for relaxation and community engagement. Through community involvement, educational initiatives, and outreach programs, the project aims to inspire environmental stewardship and positive social impact both within the university and the broader community.
