As hybrid seeds become more prevalent, traditional varieties face extinction, jeopardizing agricultural resilience. Through research, the documentary “बिर्सिएका बिउ – Forgotten Seeds,” and educational outreach, the initiative raises awareness about the benefits of indigenous seeds. It aims to inspire future generations to adopt sustainable practices and preserve this essential aspect of their culture.


The Local project promotes sustainable agriculture by highlighting indigenous seeds’ role in combating climate change. The documentary “बिर्सिएका बिउ – Forgotten Seeds” educates viewers on the benefits of these resilient seeds while showcasing expert interviews and farmer testimonials.
