The project, “Quetta’s Waste Revolution: A Blueprint for Environmental Sustainability,” is dedicated to transforming waste management practices in Quetta to foster a healthier environment. The group’s approach includes reducing waste production, particularly plastics, and promoting the use of sustainable alternatives. Through awareness campaigns and workshops, the project seeks to engage the community in adopting eco-friendly practices, empowering residents to contribute to environmental sustainability. By leveraging creative strategies and community involvement, the Quetta Waste Revolution aims to reduce waste across the city and lay the groundwork for a cleaner, healthier future for its residents.


The project has significantly reduced plastic waste in Quetta, with many local shops now using biodegradable materials in place of single-use plastics. By implementing an effective waste segregation system, the project has also increased recycling rates, reducing the volume of waste in both the university and the community. Sustainable habits have been fostered through workshops and public campaigns, resulting in greater use of environmentally friendly products. Community participation has risen, with cleanup campaigns inspiring locals to take active roles in waste management. Additionally, educational workshops in schools and meetings with the university have improved plastic management practices. This project has laid a solid foundation for future environmental initiatives in Quetta by fostering cooperation between the community and university, ensuring sustainability and scalability for continued positive impact.
